- THE STANDOFF is an 8 part dramedy web series about an 8 day standoff between one man and the RCMP in a small town in Newfoundland. Based on true events from 2010, and adapted from the book, "The Bay Bulls Standoff," which is about to go into second print, the series gives a birds-eye account of an event that took the province by storm. A colorful group of residents perch in the gravel pit, the best lookout in town, creating a counter surveillance of the police activity and an impressive communication throughout the town. The onlookers provide an interesting, and absurdly comical, perspective of a large scale police operation, along with some colorful antics as they spend their days waiting for the outcome, and worrying for their old friend.
